When choosing foam the tank will not need to be gas free, just emptied of residues. The injected foam absorbs any hydrocarbons left present rendering the tank inert and safe unlike concrete that can leave hollows. Also, the foam weighs only 25kg per 1000 litres allowing for complete tank removal or re-use at a later date, if required.
